AI music generator Suno says it will add watermarks to all audio produced by its models, aligning with emerging industry standards for labeling AI content. CEO Mikey Shulman announced the change in a blog post, noting that platforms will be able to flag or block AI-generated tracks.
Shulman did not say whether Suno will build its own watermarking system or adopt an existing one such as Google's SynthID. Google, which has begun licensing SynthID, says the technology has already labeled 60,000 years of audio from its Gemini models and more than 100 billion images and videos.
