Suno to Add Watermarks to AI-Generated Music in Bid for Legitimacy

Suno announced plans to add watermarks to all audio generated by its models and adopt policy changes, aiming to align with emerging industry standards for AI content labeling. CEO Mikey Shulman said the move would let streaming platforms either mark the tracks as AI-generated or block them entirely. The company did not specify whether it would use an in-house solution or a licensed technology such as Google's SynthID, which has already labeled 60,000 years of Gemini-generated audio and over 100 billion images and videos.
