Suno plans to add watermarks to all audio produced by its AI models and introduce policy changes to align with emerging industry standards, according to CEO Mikey Shulman. The move is intended to help streaming platforms label or block AI-generated content as concerns grow over AI music flooding services like Spotify.
Shulman did not specify whether Suno will use its own watermarking system or adopt a ready-made solution such as Google's SynthID. Google says SynthID has already been used to label 60,000 years of Gemini-generated audio and more than 100 billion images and videos.
