Taiwanese prosecutors have indicted nine people, reportedly including an Nvidia senior manager and two Supermicro employees, for allegedly forging documents to conceal illegal shipments of high-end AI servers to China in violation of US export controls. The Keelung prosecutors did not release names but said those charged face counts of breach of trust and document forgery.
A separate suspect in a related case remains at large and is accused of siphoning funds from a distributor company involved in helping China access restricted Nvidia chips. The case follows a broader US crackdown on semiconductor exports, including the arrest of Supermicro co-founder Wally Liaw in March.
