Tales from Earthsea, Often Called Studio Ghibli's Weakest Film, Returns to Theaters for 20th Anniversary

Despite Studio Ghibli's nearly flawless reputation, Tales from Earthsea is widely considered its worst film. The anime, based on Ursula K. Le Guin's novels, will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a North American theatrical release next month.

While Ghibli has other lesser entries like Earwig and the Witch and Ocean Waves, none have been as persistently labeled the studio's weakest as Earthsea.
