The U.S. lifted export curbs on Anthropic's Claude models, Fable 5 and Mythos 5, roughly three weeks after the Trump administration flagged them as security risks. Fable 5 is now available globally, and U.S.
organizations regained access to Mythos 5 on June 26. Anthropic is collaborating with the government to expand Mythos access through the Glasswing program for cybersecurity researchers.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that the models no longer require export licenses after Anthropic addressed the risks.
