The U.S. government has lifted export controls on Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 AI models, which were previously flagged as national security risks by the Trump administration.
As of now, Fable 5 is available globally, while U.S. organizations regained access to Mythos 5 on June 26. Anthropic is collaborating with the government to extend Mythos access to trusted cybersecurity partners through the Glasswing program.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed the models no longer require export licenses, acknowledging Anthropic’s cooperation in addressing security concerns.
