Web Scraper Claims Victory: 'Google and Reddit Don't Own the Internet'

After a recent court loss, Google says it will keep fighting to block AI bots from scraping its search results. Google had sued scraping service SerpApi under the DMCA, accusing it of bypassing anti-scraping measures and selling unauthorized access to search data.

Google argued the protections were needed to preserve copyrighted content and its relationships with rights holders. Reddit is also oddly tied to the ongoing dispute.
