xAI Sues First User Accused of Generating Child Sexual Abuse Material with Grok

Facing mounting pressure to acknowledge that its Grok chatbot can still be used to create non-consensual sexualized images, xAI has sued Terry Wayne Harwood, the first user it has accused of using the tool for that purpose. Harwood was arrested earlier this year for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). xAI assisted in the arrest after discovering that Harwood used two xAI accounts over months to 'nudify' non-sexual images of multiple victims, including a young girl who appeared to be about 10 years old.
