xAI has filed a lawsuit against Terry Wayne Harwood, the first user the company has accused of using its Grok chatbot to create illegal content. Harwood was arrested earlier this year for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
According to xAI, the company assisted in the arrest after discovering that Harwood used two accounts to undress non-sexual images of multiple victims, including a young girl as young as 10. The lawsuit comes as xAI faces ongoing criticism that Grok can still generate non-consensual sexualized images.
