xAI Sues User for Using Grok to Generate Child Sexual Abuse Material

Facing pressure over Grok's potential misuse, xAI filed a lawsuit against Terry Wayne Harwood, the first user accused of using its chatbot to create illegal content. Harwood was previously arrested for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). xAI assisted in the arrest after discovering that Harwood had used xAI accounts to edit non-sexual images of victims, including a young girl, to produce sexualized content.
