xAI Sues User for Using Grok to Generate Child Sexual Abuse Material

Facing pressure to acknowledge that its Grok chatbot can still be used to create non-consensual sexualized images, xAI has filed a lawsuit against Terry Wayne Harwood, the first user accused of exploiting the tool for illegal content. Harwood was arrested earlier this year for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) after xAI discovered he had used two accounts for months to “nudify” non-sexual images of victims, including a girl as young as 10. The company says it assisted law enforcement in the arrest.
