Xbox’s first November Game Pass announcement combines new releases, existing games reaching more subscription tiers, and an expansion of the entry-level Essential library. That makes the details more useful than a single headline promising “new Game Pass games.” The dates to watch include November 5 for Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, November 10 for Warhammer Survivors, and November 11 for Thronefall.

The November 3 Xbox Wire announcement covers changes through November 17. It is the first wave, rather than a final list for the entire month. There is also a November 15 departure list worth checking before filling the download queue. Finishing something you have already started may be more urgent than trying the next arrival.

Three picks with different priorities

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School expands its puzzle-room premise into an explorable campus. Developer Coin Crew Games confirms local and online co-op across the story, campus and puzzles. It is an obvious candidate for a shared evening if discussing clues sounds more appealing than competing over reflexes.

Warhammer Survivors offers a faster rhythm built around characters, evolving weapons and enemy hordes. Auroch Digital’s official description draws on both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar, with poncle involved as a partner. For subscribers, the appeal is a chance to test that combination before deciding whether to buy it separately.

Thronefall alternates daytime kingdom building with nighttime defence. Its official Steam page describes balancing income, fortifications and direct combat. Consider it if the interesting question is whether the next investment should produce more money or keep the next wave away from your castle.

The dates, platforms and subscription tiers

Every entry below is listed for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Premium indicates inclusion in that additional tier. PC Game Pass covers the PC version; the platform list beside a title does not give that subscription console or cloud access.

November 3: Football Manager 27, PC; Pit of Goblin, cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, also Premium.

November 4: Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors and Void/Breaker, cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, both also Premium.

November 5: Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School and Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Ignite also includes Premium. MySims Cozy Bundle, cloud, console and PC.

November 10: Football Manager 2027 Console and Warhammer Survivors, cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC; Tanuki: Pon’s Summer, cloud, console and PC.

November 11: Hope in the City and Thronefall, cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Thronefall also includes Premium.

November 12: John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, also Premium.

November 17: Aphelion, cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC; Paw Patrol: Dino World, cloud, console and PC. Both also include Premium.

Vampire Crawlers and Aphelion are expanding to Premium on those dates, having already been available through Ultimate and PC Game Pass. MySims Cozy Bundle is adding console and cloud availability. Void/Breaker reaches its full 1.0 release and arrives on Xbox Series X|S and cloud. These are distinct changes, rather than equivalent first-time launches.

Vampire Crawlers, Escape Academy 2, Warhammer Survivors, Thronefall and Aphelion carry the Handheld label. Xbox defines this as optimisation for handheld play. It is not, by itself, an announcement of a Nintendo Switch or mobile operating-system version.

Essential gets a separate expansion

On November 15, Essential adds Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Gears of War: Judgment, Halo: Spartan Assault, Perfect Dark, Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. All are listed for cloud and console, with PC also specified for Halo: Spartan Assault.

That does not bring every main-wave arrival to the entry-level plan. Check the game you actually want against the official plan comparison before changing a subscription, rather than assuming every Game Pass announcement applies to every member.

What leaves on November 15

The departures are 1000xResist, Barbie Horse Trails, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Firefighting Simulator – The Squad, GoldenEye 007, Great God Grove, Moonlighter, Pigeon Simulator, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, Relic Hunters Legend, Total Chaos, Winter Burrow and Wreckfest. GoldenEye 007 is listed for cloud and console; the others also include PC.

Watch the two firefighting titles in particular: Ignite is arriving, while The Squad is leaving. They are different games. If a co-op campaign is underway, check the exact title in your library and leave time before the removal date.

A cloud-gaming caveat

November also introduces monthly cloud-play allowances: 15 hours for Ultimate, 10 for Premium and five for Essential. The current plan page already shows these amounts. A Cloud label does not mean unlimited sessions, so check remaining time and regional availability before planning an extended playthrough.
