Surgeons Remotely Control Humanoid Robots in First Live Surgery on Pigs

In a world-first preclinical trial, surgeons used teleoperated humanoid robots to perform minimally invasive gallbladder removals on live pigs. The robots were not autonomous but were precisely controlled by skilled surgeons, demonstrating a new human-robot collaboration in surgery.
