The United States has removed export restrictions on Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models, approximately three weeks after the Trump administration designated them as national security risks. As of now, Fable 5 is available worldwide, while U.S.
organizations regained access to Mythos 5 on June 26. Anthropic is collaborating with the government to extend Mythos access to a wider range of domestic and international partners through the Glasswing program.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that Anthropic no longer requires an export license for these models, acknowledging the company’s efforts to address the associated risks.
