EU Classifies ChatGPT, Reddit, and Roblox as Large Online Platforms Under Digital Services Act

The European Commission has designated OpenAI's ChatGPT, Reddit, and Roblox as very large online platforms under the EU Digital Services Act. As a result, they must meet stricter obligations, including removing illegal content and safeguarding minors' privacy and security.

Failure to comply could lead to fines of up to 6 percent of their global revenue. The move shows Brussels applying existing digital rules to rapidly evolving AI services.
