Meta is closing a loophole that let people cover the recording LED on its AI glasses after starting video, following backlash over nonconsensual recordings online. The update ensures the camera stops working if the light is covered during recording, allowing the LED to reliably alert bystanders. Previously, users could bypass the block by placing a sticker over the light after recording had begun.
